Spreading Love Galaxy Receives the "Public-spirited Group Award of the Year" and the "Public-spirited Project Award of the Year"
On January 14 and 15, 2019, the 8th China Charity Festival kicked off in Beijing. As the most influential branded event in China's charitable sector, this year's charity festival was themed “public welfare creates a wonderful life”. More than 1,000 leaders in the charitable sector and more than 200 authoritative media representatives attended the event.
Relying on its good reputation for actively taking on social responsibilities and innovative charitable practices, Galaxy Holding Group received the "Public-spirited Group Award of the Year".The large-scale public welfare activity, Drifting Class (Spreading love with Galaxy), sponsored by Galaxy, was rated as the "Public-spirited Project Award of the Year".
Different from the previous public welfare methods, the Drifting Class emphasizes sharing and driving. Led by the employees of Galaxy and their parents, the school-age students in the residential communities developed by Galaxy went to the impoverished mountainous areas to show their most sincere care through classroom sharing and interacting with local students.
In September 2017, the first Drifting Classwas held in two elementary schools in Fengkai County, Zhaoqing City. Hundreds of families from the residential communities developed by Galaxy signed up, and a total of 100 families were chosen. They came to the primary schools with thousands of books and picture scrollsand spent the weekend with local children. This year, the Drifting Classwas held inDongliao Primary School in Dongliao Village, Jiushi Town, Deqing County, Zhaoqing City. Under the leadership and organization of the employees of Galaxy, 100 families donatedthe books and scrolls they carefully prepared or drew by themselves to the children of the local school.
